Sebastian Jannasch
Head of Corporate Strategy
Sebastian Jannasch and Sepideh Parsa are jointly responsible for developing Deutsche Welle's corporate strategy.
The Corporate Strategy department focuses on strategic foresight, organization-wide planning, creating DW's mission statement, and advising and supporting the management board on long-term decisions. Through four-year strategic planning, two-year corporate goals and strategic priority projects, Corporate Strategy demonstrates how DW can fulfill its internatinoal information mandate amidst evolving media consumption habits and geoplitical changes. Central to DW's strategy is providing reliable, fact-based information from a German-European perspective to a global audience, achieved through program regionalization and digital transformation.
Sebastian joined DW's Corporate Strategy Department in 2017, focusing on media and technology trends. He was in charge of drawing up DW's strategic guidelines for artificial intelligence and fostered interdisciplinary innovation as team leader of the DW Lab. Previously, he worked as a journalist for a leading German daily newspaper.
Sebastian holds an MA from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a BA from Sciences Po Paris, both in the field of International Relations.
