Geirangerfjord, Norway

Towering rock faces, thundering waterfalls and deep blue water contribute to making the Geiranger Fjord one of Norway’s most beautiful - and well-known. It winds its way some 15 kilometers between steep mountainsides and sheer cliffs. In 2005, the fjord was declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. In summer, the Geiranger Fjord is navigated by cruise ships of the Hurtigruten, among others. Another alternative is the Hellesylt-Geiranger ferry.
