Interview - Sineb El Masrar: "Islam and women's rights are not incompatible"

"There is no contradiction between being independent and being Muslim" says Sineb El Masrar. She is a feminist and the author of many books on Islam. In a DW interview, she explains how men also suffer from patriarchal structures, and why emancipation is only possible on the basis of mutual respect.
