缅甸西部地区佛教徒同穆斯林之间的流血冲突导致越来越多的人流离失所。联合国难民署本周公布的消息称，今年6月若开邦掀起战火以来，已经造成当地10多万人被迫逃离家园，其中大部分是罗兴亚族穆斯林。

But before he could reach Malaysia, along with some hundreds of other men he was intercepted by Thai forces. Later his engineless boat was towed up to the middle of the sea by the Thai Navy and left to drift. Running out of food and water Giasuddin died in the sea, along with 350 other men.
