宪法全民公投在即,埃及社会分裂达到前所未有的程度。据该国媒体周四(12月13日)报道,具有悠久历史的自由派政党—宪政党(Al-Wafd)中有150名党员宣布退党,以抗议党领导层反对宪法公投的立场。穆斯林兄弟会昨晚要求投票赞同新宪法草案。自由派及左翼政党拒绝这一由伊斯兰人士占多数的制宪委员会提交的新宪法草案,理由是,新宪法草案削弱女性的社会权益、限制公民自由。由于愿意监督投票的法官数量不足,穆尔西总统发出指令,此次全民公投将分两个阶段:本周六首先在10个省举行;一星期后在其余地区举行。
